Someone described the congressman's story as Shakespearean tragedy. Really? Seems more MelBrooksian to me. Scrawny but tough Jewish kid from Brooklyn suffers humiliation of growing up named Weiner. Sort of a "Boy Named Sue" scenario (so maybe it's a ShelSilversteinian tragedy). But he perseveres and succeeds, only to see it end in a flurry of bad penis puns. Far better to have taken millions in bribes or strangled a page.
