OK, Husker fan, look in the mirror and repeat, as often as necessary: Win or lose, the performance of a bunch of 20-something man-children, or, for that matter, the 40-something men who lead them is not a reflection on my value and worth, or the value and worth of my community and state, nor should I let it overly color my mood or attitude about life. No matter what, I’m good enough, I’m smart enough and doggone it, people like me. Unless we lose to Ohio State next week, in which case screw it, this state and all who live within it are utter wastes of space, skin and bones.
