I believe part of a father's job is tough love, to steel his children for the difficulties and disappointments life has in store for them. So, yes, when our dog got too old and ill and I sent him to a beautiful farm to run around joyfully and live out his life in happiness and comfort, I told my kids I'd had him put to sleep. #Dads
